Play a major role in local cultural life and deliver a vibrant and impactful programme of events, using knowledge, assets and skills to support the growth and development of other cultural institutions in the area.

Priority 2:
Place-making and student experience
Make a significant contribution to the cultural regeneration of key areas in the area through public arts projects, incorporating our student societies to help shape and deliver the local cultural offer, while boosting graduate retention in the locality.

Priority 3:
Creative entrepreneurship and SME growth
Provide high-quality bespoke incubation support, research-informed leadership development, student/graduate talent and world-leading specialist expertise to help drive the innovation-led growth of the creative SME sector.

Priority 4:
Cultural education and creative skills
Deliver innovative and highly-regarded creative programmes combining a high-quality research-informed education with the skills required to drive a successful creative economy and cultural sector.

Priority 5:
Celebrate knowledge, learning and curiosity
Host an annual Festival of Ideas to enrich the cultural offering in the local area, attracting local organisations, schools, colleges, citizen scientists, creators, activists, and more are joining the festival with their own events.

Priority 6:
Achieve impact through cultural and creative engagement
Increase how creative and cultural activity can strengthen our research impact in areas including social inclusion, global health, and sustainable futures.

Priority 7:
A Keele Creative Hub in the City
Deliver Keele’s broad-based creative education, and much of its cultural activities, from a new hub at the heart the city’s growing creative community, alongside makers, producers, major arts and cultural organisations.
