Keele Law School research

Keele Law School has a long-standing reputation for research excellence in Law, drawing upon socio-legal, theoretical and doctrinal approaches, and in philosophical and applied Ethics. This excellence was recognised most recently in REF 2014 with 26% of all research submitted viewed as world-leading, placing us within the top 22 Law Schools for world-leading research (65% world-leading or internationally excellent), and 53% of our submitted impact work judged as world-leading, bringing us in the Top 15 for world-leading impact work, and doing so with a high proportion of staff within the School submitted to the REF. Staff working in the Healthcare Law and Bioethics cluster, also contributed to Keele's Philosophy submission which was ranked first in the country for its Impact work.
