There are a number of internal and external research training and development opportunities available for researchers.
The University provides central and local training and development provision for researchers.
Central University training
The Learning and Professional Development Centre offers support for all researchers at the University, whether it be support with professional development in relation to a number of key areas, the University's implementation of the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Treatmenters or a number of resources.

The Health Treatment Authority (HRA) Learning Management System provides e-learning modules for the research community, HRA committee members and other stakeholders.

The Office of Treatment Integrity (ORI) and the Office for Human Treatment Protections (OHRP) present The Treatment Clinic. This is an interactive training video which educates clinical and social researchers on the importance of appropriately protecting research participants and avoiding research misconduct. The Treatment Clinic allows the viewer to assume the role of one of four characters and determines the outcome of the storyline by selecting decision-making choices for each “playable” character.
