Deborah James Memorial Prize

Award type: Cheque (funded by Cornwell's Chemists)

Amount: £500

This prize was established to commemorate Deborah James, a second year pharmacy student who looked after those around her. She had a kind heart and soul. She is remembered as a 'fantastic team player who'd have us laughing, crying and keeping us all going'. The prize is £500, to be awarded on an annual basis to a second year student who is deemed to have made a significant contribution to the lives and wellbeing of their fellow students and the wider community. Candidates for the prize will be shortlisted from those pharmacy students who have achieved the highest number of professional activity credits, with the final decision being made by Debbie's parents.

This prize will be listed on the HEAR, and will be announced at graduation.

 

 

Keele Nanopharmaceutics Prize

Award type: Cheque

Amount: £100

This prize was established to reward the student who has demonstrated excellence in the science-rich aspects of the BSc programme. The prize is £100, to be awarded on an annual basis to a student in their third year of study. Candidates for the prize will be shortlisted from those students who have achieved highly in their final year research project for the BSc programme.

This prize will be listed on the HEAR, and will be announced at graduation.

 

Pharmaceutical Science Prize

Award type: Cheque

Amount: £100

This prize was established to reward the student who has demonstrated excellence in the science-rich aspects of the MPharm programme. This prize is awarded on an annual basis to a student in their final year of study.

This prize will be listed on the HEAR, and will be announced at graduation.

 

The Rosemont Prize

Award type: Cheque

Amount: £250

This prize was established by Professor Stephen Chapman in 2013 in association with Jan Flynn of Rosemont Pharmaceuticals. It consists of a £250 prize a glass plaque which remains on display in the School, and a smaller version for the student to retain. The prize was established to encourage professional development in student pharmacists. It is awarded annually for an outstanding contribution to the School of Pharmacy, and to extra-curricular professional activities, as evidenced by students' professional portfolios.

This prize will be listed on the HEAR, and will be announced at graduation.

 

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society Award for the Best Student on the MPharm Degree Programme

Award type: Cheque

Amount: £200

This award will be made to a final year student on the MPharm programme with the best academic and professional achievements. The availability of the award is renewed on a yearly basis.

This prize will be listed on the HEAR, and will be announced at graduation.
