Keele Welcome begins on Wednesday 19th September for international students and Saturday 22nd September for home students, and runs until Sunday 30th September. During Keele Welcome, look out for staff and students in coloured t-shirts. They will be around to answer your questions and offer advice to help you make the most of your first few days at Keele. Student Services staff will be based at the Help and Information stands in the Chancellor's Building.

Welcome Conversations

This interactive session will begin with a welcome to Recru it networ by Dr Anne Loweth, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Students).  We will then discuss your Welcome, your expectations about learning and living at Keele and the international student experience.  We will be joined by current Keele students who will facilitate smaller group conversations to explore what it means to be an international student at Keele.

UK Student Enrolment (all UK students)

Enrolment is compulsory for all new students. The enrolment process should take around 30 minutes depending on the volume of students and time of day. When you arrive at Keele make sure you head straight to the Chancellor's Building.

Health Registration (all)

In order to register with the National Health Service and receive treatment, you must be registered with a general medical practice near where you live.

Please note that this is a normal GP surgery and not a Walk-in Centre, therefore you will need to be registered to access an appointment. The registration forms can be downloaded from the health centre website . Please fill these in before you arrive as this will minimise the time taken to process your registration. If you have a medical condition, are undergoing treatment at the hospital, or are taking repeat medication please bring this information with you when you register.

Halls Welcome Talk – Lindsay (Residents)

This is a compulsory welcome talk for new arrivals at the University who will be living in Lindsay.  This talk is designed to introduce you to life in halls of residence and to tell you about all the important stuff you need to know.  You will have the opportunity to meet staff members and learn about support that is available

Plogging (all)

We’re all super keen to help the environment at Keele and plogging is a new craze that sits nicely with being green!  Help us clean up freshers week whilst jogging around campus nd picking up litter (that’s where the name comes from!).  This will be at a leisurely pace and we’ll provide you with gloves, bin bags and litter pickers!

Festival Park Shuttle (all)

Leaving at 11am OR 12pm – returning at 4pm OR 5pm from the SU Car Park

Festival Park is a local out of town retail park that has a cinema, bowling, shops and restaurants.  Hop on the shuttle bus and either challenge your friends to a bowling game or simply chill out around the shops and restaurants.
