Besides our three campus shops and fantastic Students’ Union shop and post office, Keele has a small high street with a newsagent’s, a Costa Coffee, a Blackwell’s bookshop, a Well pharmacy and a Santander bank.
Every day, different traders sell their wares inside and outside the Students’ Union – great for DVDs, CDs, books, posters, make-up, crafts and more.
Once a week, during term time, there’s a farmers' market outside of the Students’ Union that allows you to buy fresh fruit and vegetables on campus throughout the academic year. Or, you could join up with our Student Eats scheme grow your own in our student allotment beds!
Ranking 1st in the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey 2017, our 24/7 library on campus offers fantastic facilities and study space. The campus Library, and separate Health Library, both offer free WiFi, excellent support, a choice of study spaces and access to extensive print and online resources.
We offer an IT advice centre, giving you access to support and services such as a laptop clinic and short and long term laptop loans scheme. Free WiFi is available across campus and at the Royal Stoke University Hospital. You will have access to our Virtual Learning Environment, providing an online portal for enhanced course content and submitting work online. We also provide access to computers and high speed colour printers and scanners in our 24/7 library.
We have a range of restaurants and cafés on campus, including our healthy fast food outlet 'On the Square'. We have a thriving network of faith societies and there is always something going on. The chaplaincy team, which includes christian chaplains, a muslim chaplain and a number of faith advisers are always on hand to provide support, whether you have a faith or not. Our Ecumenical Chapel provides a focus for different styles of Christian worship and includes symbol-free space for quiet reflection.
The Islamic Centre, located in Barnes Hall, offers space for Muslim worship. Access to the Islamic Centre is available to all Keele staff and students using your Keele Card. If you would like to apply for access, . Your Keele Card should work within 24 hours (not including weekends).
The KeeleSU radio station, , is run by students for students, broadcasting 24/7 during semesters. Listen to the shows or get involved.
Our large, purpose-built nursery is at the heart of campus. It is registered with Social Services and Ofsted and in 2016 was rated good with some outstanding features by Ofsted.

We're proud that our SU was in the Top 10 in the What Uni Student Choice Awards 2016 and consistently ranks highly for its range of activities and events on offer.
Our extensive sports facilities, including 10 grass football pitches, 8 tennis courts, 6 squash courts, bouldering wall, fitness gym, spinning and dance studios, were expanded in 2016 to include beach volleyball courts and a new 3G pitch. Whether you are eligible for our Talented Athlete Programme, want to compete in British Universities competitions, join a club or just keep fit and healthy, we have lots on offer.
With over 200 clubs and societies on offer, there is an abundance of activity available on campus that is student led. Whether you want to join a society, representing a campaign, are passionate about films, have a type of dance you love or want to find like-minded Game of Thrones fans, you can join, or create, a group to enjoy your interests with.
Along with boasting a breadth of music and arts groups you can join, we also provide a high quality range of exhibitions, music events, poetry, performances and much more throughout the year. Our music students are able to access many of the visiting music programme for free as part of their courses.
